Procedure:

Fat grafting in Colombia is typically performed with a combination of general and local anesthesia.  This procedure involves suctioning fat from a donor site (hips, abdomen), treating the aspirate to obtain a serum of healthy fat cells, and injection into the desired areas for restoration of volume and refinement of contours.

Recovery:

This procedure can be completed in just a few hours at an outpatient surgery suite in Colombia.  With modern techniques, swelling and bruising during the recovery period can be minimized.  After the procedure, you will be brought to the recovery room where you will be monitored until you are ready to be released.  You will go home after the procedure and rest for at least 24 hours, after which you may gradually increase your activity as tolerated.
